Educated at the University of California, Berkeley (BSLA) and Harvard Graduate School of Design (MLA) Peter Walker has been practicing landscape architecture since1959. He was a founding partner at Sasaki Walker Associates and Peter Walker and Partners and has been designing projects worldwide and collecting and making minimalist art since 1980. He has been Chairman of Landscape Architecture at the Harvard GSD and the Landscape Department at UC Berkeley. He was the publisher of Spacemaker Press from 1995 to 2001.In 2025, his sculpture was shown at the Lar Landa Gallery in San Francisco. He is a founder of Spacemaker Gallery in 2025.
